John has been making wooden snowflakes to give away as holiday gifts since 1988. He read about this method in a carpenter’s magazine and felt inspired to try his hand at it.

 

I prefer to think of it as magic. He applies his magic and voilĂ ! He pulls 300 snowflakes out of a hat, er, table saw. Just like that!

 

He turns two board, each five feet long, nine inches wide, and 3/4 inches thick:
